«The Journey of the Penguin» is the wordless picture book by Emiliano Ponzi, published by Penguin Books in hardcover (96 pages, in English).
A lonely Antarctic penguin dreams of adventure, swims north, and arrives in London in 1935, when a new publisher is seeking the image for its imprint. After passing the auditions, he travels to New York and becomes the emblem of Penguin Books. The story, told solely through images, celebrates the publisher's 80th anniversary.
Originally published on October 27, 2015, the work includes cameos of legendary Penguin authors such as Jack Kerouac, Arthur Miller and Dorothy Parker.
Due to its visual nature, it is aimed at readers aged 7 to 10 and at fans of comics and the graphic novel.
