«Jo, aquí, només sóc el gos» is a children's story by Jutta Richter, published by Cruïlla in paperback (112 pages, in Catalan).
Anton, a sheepdog who used to run free in the fields, ends up living with a family and finds human habits strange: sleeping in a basket, walking on a leash and obeying a whistle. The narration, with humor, contrasts the dog's perspective with that of his owners, and reflects on how animals perceive the domestic world.
It is number 192 in the El Vaixell de Vapor collection (El Barco de Vapor Azul). Catalan edition of the German original «Ich bin hier bloß der Hund».
Recommended for young readers from 7 years old, especially for those who enjoy animal stories and humor.
