«Juttertje Tim» is the children's book by Paul Biegel, published by Holland B.V. in hardcover (128 pages, in Dutch).
Tim grows up in a family of sailors, but he doesn't want to go to sea. At twelve, he is left alone in a house raised on a rocky coast, facing the sea. Every day he walks the beach looking for what the tide leaves behind: a pirate chest, mysterious footprints, and a figurehead that five strangers seem to want to take from him.
Published in 1991, it features illustrations by Carl Hollander.
Suitable for child and young adult readers, especially those seeking pirate adventures, mystery, and a marine setting.
Paulus Johannes "Paul" Biegel was a Dutch writer of children's literature.
