«King-Kong, das Geheimschwein» is a children's book by Kirsten Boie, published by Oetinger in hardcover (64 pages, in German).
Jan-Arne receives a baby guinea pig from Susanna, a gift from Frieder. Although he is told it is female, the boy calls it King-Kong, because he wants it to grow big, strong and wild. The story follows life with the little pet and is designed for readers who have already moved past the first reading level.
It is the first installment of the King-Kong series, with illustrations by Silke Brix, and belongs to the Büchersterne collection for pupils in Grades 2 and 3 of elementary school.
Recommended for children aged 8 and up who already read with some fluency and enjoy animal stories.
