«La Bella i la Bèstia» is the children's story by Anònim adapted by Roser Ros, published by La Galera in hardcover (24 pages, in Catalan).
Adaptation of the classic fairy tale in which Bella, a kind young woman, ends up a prisoner in the castle of a terrifying-looking Beast. Despite her fear, she discovers the kindness hidden behind the beast and learns that appearances are deceiving. Cristina Losantos's illustrations recreate scenes such as the dinner of the two protagonists in a richly decorated hall.
It is number 52 of La Galera's Popular collection, in its first edition, published in September 1999.
Story recommended for early readers aged 6 to 8 who are starting to read in Catalan.
