«La biomaestra» is the children's novel by José Luis Maestro Sarrión and Pepe Maestro (Edelvives, paperback, 110 pages, in Spanish).
Blas, a fifth-grade student, says that his school has seventeen female teachers and one that many consider odd: Nadiel, his teacher, who practices yoga with the class, tends a vegetable garden and greets her students with apples and cushions. Under her gaze, the school routine becomes a peculiar madhouse where diversity and individuality have a place.
It belongs to the Ala Delta collection, green series (no. 75). It includes illustrations by David Guirao Tarazona and was published on January 25, 2010.
Aimed at readers aged 10 to 12, it suits those who enjoy school stories, humor and ecology.
