«La casa de Pedro» is the children's story by Maria Eulàlia Valeri and Sara Cone Bryant, published by La Galera in paperback (24 pages, in Spanish).
The tale accumulates characters and animals around the house that Pedro built: a rat, a cat, a dog, a cow, a girl, a rascal, a master and a rooster. Each element is added to the previous one in a chain structure that allows early readers to anticipate the next scene.
It belongs to the La Sirena collection (Letra manuscrita series, no. 8). Includes illustrations by Fina Rifà. The Spanish edition was published in 1992.
Suitable for children aged 6 and up: the cumulative structure and illustrations make it appropriate for early readers.
Sara Cone Bryant was an American lecturer, teacher, and writer. She wrote children's books in the early 20th century. She also supported and took a leadership role in women's suffrage.
