La castanyada

Synopsis of La castanyada

«La castanyada» is the children's story by Anna Canyelles with illustrations by Roser Calafell, published by La Galera in paperback (24 pages, in Catalan).

During the Castanyada, while the adults prepare panellets and roast chestnuts, Pau asks his grandfather for a story. Pau's grandfather evokes his childhood: as a boy he was very mischievous and, one foggy day, walking alone down the street, he came across a disturbing shadow. A tale that unites tradition with mystery.

Illustrations by Roser Calafell. Volume 79 of the Tradicions collection, from La Galera. First published in 2011.

For early readers in Catalan aged 4 to 6 and for sharing the Castanyada tradition with the family.
