«La conexión cósmica» is the popular science essay by Carl Sagan, published by Orbis in hardcover (251 pages, in Spanish).
The book invites readers to contemplate the universe on a scale larger than the human one to understand our place in it. Sagan reviews some worlds of the solar system, such as Mars, Venus and Earth, and then delves into speculation about contact with intelligences from other worlds, including why UFOs and astrology do not withstand scientific analysis.
This edition opens the Muy Interesante Popular Science Library collection, with a translation by Jaime Piñeiro González; the work was originally published in 1973.
Recommended for readers interested in astronomy, science and classic popular science who seek an accessible approach to the big questions of the cosmos.
