«La Flecha Azul» is Gianni Rodari's children's fantasy novel, published by Ediciones del Laberinto in hardcover (128 pages, in Spanish).
La Befana gives out gifts on the night of January 6 only to children who have been good and can afford them. Fed up with this injustice, the toys in her shop escape aboard the toy train La Flecha Azul to find the little ones who truly want them, in an adventure about friendship and solidarity.
Work originally published in Italian as «La freccia azzurra» in 1964, with illustrations by Nicoletta Costa and translation by Eulalia Zamarrón Portús.
For children aged 7 and up; common reading in elementary education to address values such as friendship and solidarity.

Giovanni Francesco "Gianni" Rodari was an Italian writer and journalist, most famous for his works of children's literature, notably Il romanzo di Cipollino. For his lasting contribution as a children's author, he received the biennial Hans Christian Andersen Medal in 1970. He is considered Italy's most important 20th-century children's author, and his books have been translated into many languages, though few have been published in English.
