«La gallina Churra» is a children's story by Xan López Domínguez, published by Ediciones SM in paperback (64 pages, in Spanish).
La gallina Churra sees a worm and tries to eat it, but it is actually Culebrito. Mrs. Culebra, Culebrito's mother, comes out to teach her a lesson, and Churra tries to hide with a disguise. The story raises what a hen can do to avoid being recognized and proposes facing problems instead of hiding.
Written and illustrated by Xan López Domínguez, it is number 41 in the El Barco de Vapor Blanca collection.
Suitable for early readers aged 6 to 7 who are starting to read chapters in Spanish.
