«La gallina Guillermina: Juega con la ll» is the children's story by Beatriz Doumerc, published by Editorial Bruño in paperback (24 pages, in Spanish).
The story, starring Guillermina, a hen, focuses on the phoneme «ll»: its spelling appears highlighted in color and its sound is recognized in many words of the text. Activities include matching images and words, discriminating sounds, expanding vocabulary and, as a final game, coloring and cutting out the letter to combine it with others.
Number 11 of the collection «El zoo de las letras», with illustrations by Tría 3.
Aimed at children aged 3 to 6 who are beginning to recognize letters and take their first steps in reading.
Beatriz Doumerc de Barnes was an Argentine writer of children's literature. Her book, La línea, illustrated by her husband, Ayax "Pacho" Barnes, was awarded the Casa de las Américas Prize in 1975.
