La gata con alas

Synopsis of La gata con alas

«La gata con alas» is the contemporary fiction novel by Enriqueta Antolín, published by Punto de Lectura S.L. in paperback (224 pages, in Spanish).

In 1950, in a Castilian city, a military man must answer to justice, a mother clings to the illusion of being a woman, a grandfather is rejuvenated by the neighbor across the street, and a good-looking woman brightens the neighborhood. Thirty years later, another woman seeks answers about her past and the silences that torment her. A parody of the harsh Spanish postwar period, a bittersweet memory that brings a smile, and a hopeless love story.

For readers of contemporary Spanish fiction seeking an ironic and nostalgic look at the postwar period.
