«La historia secreta de los Thyssen» is the historical essay by David R. L. Litchfield, published by Ediciones Martínez Roca in paperback (704 pages).
Litchfield argues that the Thyssens cultivated their image as Swiss industrialists and Hungarian aristocrats to conceal their collaboration with Nazism: they profited from World War I and helped finance and arm the Third Reich. The book surveys August Thyssen's empire and the disputes and art collection of his heirs.
First edition published in Barcelona on October 4, 2007. It belongs to the Artículo 20 collection, of which it is number 1.
