«La librería en la colina» is the memoir novel by Alba Donati, published by Lumen in paperback (224 pages, in Spanish).
Alba Donati leaves city life to settle in Lucignana, a small Tuscan village, where she turns a cabin near the woods into the bookshop Sopra la Penna. Through a crowdfunding campaign, she manages to open its doors in 2019. The account captures her daily life running the business amid recommendations, orders and surprising shelves, and portrays the neighbors who make the bookshop a meeting point.
Translation by Ana Ciurans Ferrándiz. The Italian original, «La libreria sulla collina», was published in 2022. It is part of Lumen's Narrativa collection.
