«La lletera» is the classic children's tale by Félix María Samaniego, published by Combel Editorial in hardcover (24 pages, in Catalan).
A young milkmaid goes to market with the milk and, on the way, dreams of what she will buy with the money she hopes to earn. When she stumbles and spills it, her plans vanish: she had built castles in the air and trusted in something she did not yet have. A traditional story about prudence and the distance between wishing and possessing.
The illustrations are by Mabel Póveda Piérola. It is part of the El cavall volador collection and the PAS series.
Aimed at boys and girls aged 4 to 7 who are starting with their first stories in Catalan.
Félix María Serafín Sánchez de Samaniego y Zabala was a Spanish neoclassical fabulist.
