«La Lola amb ales» is a children's picture book by Polly Dunbar, published by RBA Molino in hardcover (36 pages, in Catalan).
Lola feels lonely and sad: everything around her is gray and she has no one to play with. Looking at a painting of colorful birds, she decides to brighten her life with a green hat, blue shoes and a pink dress, and paints her body in bright tones. Her imagination takes her to a world of color and company, though the magic must be undone.
Translated into Catalan by Josep Ferrer i Travé, it belongs to the Infantil Català collection (volume 34). The original English work, «Flyaway Katie», was published in 2004.
A story for young children, designed to talk about emotions and managing one's mood.
Polly Dunbar is an English author-illustrator.
