«La meua família i altres monstres» is the children's and young adult novel by Francesc Gisbert Muñoz, published by La Galera in paperback (120 pages, in Catalan).
Rut and her family survive by stealing and sleeping in a van; her father calls it «going to load» and «camping». One night they occupy an abandoned house, but the dwelling is not as empty as it seems: they must share it with a gang of monsters determined to throw them out.
The work belongs to the Grumets collection (no. 179) and was awarded the Josep M. Folch i Torres prize for boys' and girls' novel 2005.
Recommended from age 8 for young readers who enjoy adventure and monster stories.
