«La mirada del otro» is the novel by Fernando Delgado, published by Planeta in hardcover (298 pages, in Spanish).
Begoña, a woman from the upper bourgeoisie, discovers that her husband has read her intimate diary, where she recounts the experience that awakened her interest in older men. That discovery leads her to a double life in which desire and reality mix, in a story about loneliness, helplessness and a psychological conflict.
Winner of the Premio Planeta in 1995, it was originally published that year; the present edition is from 2003 and belongs to the Biblioteca Premios Planeta collection.

Fernando Delgado was a Spanish actor, screenwriter and film director. Delgado directed a mixture of documentary and feature films, including the 1936 bullfighting drama Currito of the Cross. His son Luis María Delgado was also a film director.
