«La mujer que vigila los Vermeer» is a short story collection by José María Conget, published in paperback by Pre-Textos in 2013.
The urge to be someone else and the awareness of a vital imposture run through these pages: the session of a compulsive liar, a dialogue about political conspiracies, a biography told through movie theaters, loneliness and disasters born of amorous obsession, and two rooms emptied by death. It closes with a brief homage to Capitán Trueno.
The volume belongs to Pre-Textos' Colección Narrativa Contemporánea, number 112 (Valencia, 2013).
For readers of short fiction and contemporary Spanish literature.
