«La Parada» is a narrative work by Joaquim Ruyra, published by Editorial Lumen in 1979 in paperback (131 pages, in Catalan).
The work portrays fears, desires and nightmares through the power of gazes: the flash of falling in love, the look of poverty or the terror of the end of the world. In the story that gives the book its title, Ramon, Lluís and Xaneta set up a night-time bird-catching stand and must face the ruthless Llambregues.
It is number 2 in the Sis Joans collection, in its first edition of 1979, and includes illustrations by Xavier Grau. The original work dates from 1919.
Considered one of the essential works of Catalan narrative, it is suitable for readers of classics and illustrated editions.
