«La perversa Caputxeta» is the children's novel by Rosa-Maria Colom, published by Edicions Bromera in paperback (112 pages, in Catalan).
It starts from the classic tale of Little Red Riding Hood and her grandmother devoured by the wolf, but here the known version is a farce. Little Red Riding Hood is not as innocent as she seems: perhaps she invented the story to become famous and get rich with a theme park in her name, while the wolf, humiliated, seeks revenge.
Published in 2003, it belongs to the L'Elefant collection, number 6, and features illustrations by Mabel Piérola.
Aimed at children and young adults, this ironic retelling of the classic tale invites readers to question the traditional version.
