«La promise du guerrier» is the historical romance novel by Denise Lynn, published by Harlequin in paperback (320 pages, in French).
At the court of the King of Scotland in 1145, Avelyn discovers that her arranged marriage to Elrik de Roul, a legendary warrior known as the Wolf of David, is not the dream she imagined: he awakens her desire, but his cold attitude reminds her that this union is only a royal order. Loyalty, honor and passion clash in this medieval romance.
The novel corresponds to number 829 of the Les Historiques collection and the second volume of the Warrior Wolves series. The work was originally published as The Warrior's Runaway Wife.
For readers of historical romance seeking Scottish medieval settings, arranged marriages and tension between duty and desire.
