«La Ratesa» is the novel by Günter Grass, published by Punto de Lectura S.L. in paperback (624 pages, in Spanish).
A writer receives a caged rat as a Christmas gift; the creature harasses him in dreams and announces the end of the human species after an atomic holocaust, where only rats survive. The novel combines these visions with other stories and composes an apocalyptic fable with humor and tenderness about the future of man.
Translation by Miguel Sáenz. The novel was originally published in 1986 under the title «Die Rättin».
