La Regenta es una novela realista del autor español Leopoldo Alas «Clarín», publicada en 1884 y 1885. La obra narra la historia de Ana Ozores, una mujer oprimida en un matrimonio sin amor, y su búsqueda de afecto en la ciudad de Vetusta. A través de la vida de Ana, Clarín critica la sociedad provinciana, la hipocresía y las limitaciones impuestas a las mujeres en el siglo XIX. La novela es considerada una de las obras más importantes de la literatura española y un ejemplo destacado del realismo literario.
