«La schiappa» is the children's and young adult novel by Jerry Spinelli, published by Mondadori in paperback (166 pages, in Italian).
Donald Zinkoff is an enthusiastic and clumsy boy who loves school and the little things, but his classmates see him as a loser and call him «schiappa». With humor and tenderness, the novel champions self-acceptance, the value of being different and the possibility that a 'failure' might end up becoming something unexpected.
Work originally published in English as «Loser»; Italian translation by Angela Ragusa. Belongs to the Oscar bestsellers collection.
