«La servante du Seigneur» is Jean-Louis Fournier's personal novel, published by Stock in hardcover (154 pages, in French).
Jean-Louis Fournier portrays his daughter, once brilliant and fun-loving, after «Monseigneur» brings her closer to Jesus and she decides to serve him. The father witnesses her conversion, the shift from light to shadow and from lightness to dogmatism, and responds with irony, tenderness, unanswered questions, and a humor that does not hide his filial love.
The book joins the family portraits Fournier has devoted to his father, his children, and his wife.
Jean-Louis Fournier is a French writer, and winner of the Prix Femina, 2008, for Où on va, papa?.
