«La Terre racontée aux enfants» is the children's photography book by Yann Arthus-Bertrand, Hubert Comte and David Giraudon (hardcover, 80 pages, in French).
Yann Arthus-Bertrand selects 34 photographs from his travels around the world to show children landscapes and ways of life of other cultures: beliefs, games and the daily lives of the little ones. Each double page combines a large photo, an explanatory text and a drawing with a travel-journal feel.
Published by Editions de la Martinière; youth adaptation of «La Terre vue du ciel» (1999), with texts by Hubert Comte and drawings by David Giraudon.
Suitable for children aged 6 to 8 interested in nature, travel and other cultures.
Yann Arthus-Bertrand is a French environmentalist, activist, journalist and photographer. He has also directed films about the impact of humans on the planet. He is especially well known for his book Earth from Above (1999) and his films Home (2009) and Human (2015). It is because of this commitment that Yann Arthus-Bertrand was designated Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Environment Programme on Earth Day.
