«La tesis de Nancy» is the novel by Spanish writer Ramón J. Sender, published by Magisterio Español in paperback (321 pages, in Spanish).
American student Nancy travels to Seville to prepare a thesis on Spanish culture and discovers a country of contrasts. Her foreign gaze turns the language and local customs into comic misunderstandings, while the narrative ironically portrays the tension between tradition and modernity in the Spain of the time.
First installment of Ramón J. Sender's «Nancy» series, originally published in 1969.
For those seeking a humorous novel about the cultural clash between the United States and 1960s Spain.
