«La veneziana e altri racconti» is Vladimir Nabokov's collection of short stories, published by Adelphi in paperback (212 pages, in Italian).
Written in Russian, almost all between 1923 and 1925, these stories by Vladimir Nabokov anticipate settings that will appear in his work: lost Russia, university England, snowy Switzerland and exile Germany. Nabokov responds to realism with irony, games and trompe-l'œils, turning small things into narrative material.
The edition, edited by Serena Vitale, was published in 1992 in the Biblioteca Adelphi collection (number 253).
For readers of classic fiction and for those who want to discover Vladimir Nabokov's early stories in Italian.
Vladimir Vladimirovich Nabokov, also known by the pen name Vladimir Sirin, was a Russian and American novelist, poet, translator, and entomologist.
