«La verdadera historia de Santa Rita: Abogada de las causas perdidas» is the historical biography by Yves Chiron, published by Ediciones Palabra in paperback.
Biography that reconstructs the life of Saint Rita, known as advocate of the impossible, from her historical context to her beatification in the 17th century. The account pays special attention to the stigma the saint bore on her forehead, a thorn from the Passion of Christ, and to the influence of that sign on her reputation for holiness.
The work was originally published as «La véritable histoire de Sainte Rita» in 2001; this Spanish edition is the 3rd and includes the translation by Antonio Esquivias Villalobos.
Reading for those who seek in the lives of the saints a testimony of hope and consolation.
