«La voz a ti debida» is Pedro Salinas's love poetry collection, published by Alianza Editorial in paperback (136 pages, in Spanish).
Written in 1933, the book is a long love poem articulated as a dialogue between the self and the beloved. Salinas refines everyday language to express the essence of amorous feeling, with a transparency and clarity that have marked subsequent Spanish poetry. The title comes from a verse by Garcilaso, and the work forms a diptych with «Razón de amor».
This Alianza Editorial edition, part of the El libro de bolsillo collection, corresponds to the second volume of his complete poems, edited by Soledad Salinas de Marichal.
Recommended for readers of twentieth-century Spanish poetry and for those wishing to approach one of the most influential voices of the Generation of '27.

Pedro Salinas y Serrano was a Spanish poet, a member of the Generation of '27, as well as a university teacher, scholar and literary critic. In 1937, he delivered the Turnbull lectures at Johns Hopkins University. These were later published under the title Reality and the Poet in Spanish Poetry.
