«L'arqueta dels rellotges» is Jordi Llavina's children's novel, published by Cruïlla in paperback (128 pages, in Catalan).
The narrator, now a father of two, remembers the Augusts he spent as a child with his family in a small village. Among those holidays without many toys, the afternoons playing with toy soldiers with his cousin, his grandfather's air rifle and a mysterious chest with nine antique clocks, one of which ran backwards, stand out.
Volume 178 of the El Barco de Vapor Azul collection, with illustrations by Marta Espinach. It was the first work Jordi Llavina published with Cruïlla.
Aimed at children aged 8 to 11 who enjoy realistic stories about family and memory.
