«L'arte del dubbio» is the collection of legal stories by Gianrico Carofiglio, published by Sellerio di Giorgianni in 2007 in paperback (231 pages, in Italian).
The book began as a manual on the technique of examination and cross-examination in criminal proceedings, but Carofiglio freed it from the most technical parts to turn it into a collection of legal stories. Through concrete cases and transcripts of real interrogations, it explores how doubt is sown among the facts and shows tragic and comic stories of ordinary people, with a noir novel backdrop.
It belongs to the «La memoria» collection, number 734, from Sellerio di Giorgianni.
Recommended for readers interested in contemporary Italian narrative and in stories set in the world of law and trials.
