«Las manos en la sangre» is Irene X's poetry collection, published by Planeta in paperback (144 pages, in Spanish).
In these poems, Irene X builds a universe as wild as it is intimate. Her gaze does not surrender to the whirlwind of reality, and she recounts secrets, fears, passions, and fierce thoughts. The author writes by polishing her vocabulary, seeking to complain from beauty.
Published in the ESPASAesPOESÍA collection on October 29, 2019. Irene X (Zaragoza, 1990) won the first edition of the ESPASAesPOESÍA Prize in 2018 with «La chica no olvida».
Of interest to readers of contemporary poetry and to those seeking a perspective linked to gender studies and diversity.
