«Las trenzas de Luna» is a children's book by Alfredo Gómez Cerdá, published by Editorial Everest in paperback (96 pages, in Spanish).
A writer receives an unexpected letter from a teacher friend proposing a title and an idea for a book. Though not convinced at first, he accepts, and the story incorporates the participation of the teacher's students. Thus we meet Luna, a girl from a distant land with black braids, and a reflection on immigration and the power of words.
Illustrated by María Luisa Torcida, it is part of the Leer es vivir collection and is aimed at readers aged 10 to 12.
Designed for young readers who want to approach stories with a social background, where writing and solidarity connect people from different places.
