Le champ de personne

Synopsis of Le champ de personne

«Le champ de personne» is the novel by Daniel Picouly, published in 1996 by France Loisirs / Flammarion in hardcover (460 pages, in French).

At ten years old, the youngest of twelve siblings lives in a tiny house after the previous one burned down. He invents an extraordinary world: he takes his mother's bike without permission to go to the soccer field and ends up forgetting it, and fantasizes that his father, a night tinsmith, is the hero Chaudrake, whom General De Gaulle entrusts with missions.

With its joyful tone and childlike perspective, it will appeal to readers of contemporary French fiction.
