«Le Monstre poilu» is the children's story by Henriette Bichonnier illustrated by Pef, published by Editions Gallimard in paperback (40 pages, in French).
A hairy monster, bored with his diet of mice, looks for something tastier among humans. The first person he stumbles upon is Lucile, a clever, cheeky girl who is not intimidated by his threats. The tale plays with witty retorts, absurd situations and humor sustained by the protagonist's ingenuity in the face of the monster.
This title was published in 1982 in the Folio Benjamin collection, with illustrations by Pef.
Suitable for early readers aged 6 to 9 who are starting to read on their own and enjoy monster stories and humor.
