«Le Professeur Cerise» is the children's story by Marie-Hélène Delval and Serge Bloch, published by Bayard in paperback (47 pages, in French).
In Loto-Ville, the old games have gone out of fashion and everyone prefers the ultramodern machines of the Palace of Games. Professor Cerise, an original and wise man, can't find anyone to play cards, checkers or chess with, so he builds a friendly robot, a bit of a cheat, a bit of a thief and a bit of a joker.
Published in 1990, it belongs to the J'aime lire collection; the text is by Marie-Hélène Delval and the illustrations by Serge Bloch.
Recommended for children aged 6 to 10, especially as a first reading in French.
