«Le tiroir indiscret» is the epistolary novel by Laure Hillerin, published by Le Grand livre du mois in hardcover (160 pages, in French).
In pre-revolutionary France of the Ancien Régime, two lovers exchange an ardent and shameless correspondence. With classical style and rich vocabulary, they speak of love, pleasure and voluptuousness, combining daring images with delicate feelings, and hint at the portrait of a society condemned by History.
The subtitle of the work is «Correspondance ardente et impudique de deux amants sous la Révolution»; the edition is from 2005.
For readers of classical epistolary fiction and French literature interested in the eighteenth century.
