«Leonardo da Vinci: Una biografía» is the biography of the Renaissance genius by Luis Antonio de Villena (Planeta DeAgostini, hardcover, 221 pages, in Spanish).
The work traces Leonardo's life as an enigmatic and deliberately elusive man, oscillating between idealism and interest in matter. It covers his facets as painter, scientist, inventor and humanist, and places his legacy in the history of art and science.
Published in 1996 as number 32 of the collection 'Memoria de la Historia'; includes bibliography on pp. 209-211.
For readers of historical biographies and art history, interested in Leonardo as artist, scientist and inventor.
