«Les cotorres fugitives» is a children's story by Maria Enrich, published by Lynx Nature Books in paperback (56 pages, in Catalan).
The parrots Cotó-Rita and Cotó-Rat leave their cage and take flight together to be free. During the journey they make new friends and must face some threat. At the end of the story, a didactic section explains what parrots eat, where they come from, how they arrived in our country, and where they nest.
It was published in 2006 as the first edition in the Ales de paper collection. Recommended reading age is 7 to 10 years.
For young readers curious about nature, it combines an adventure story with an informative introduction about parrots.
