«Lettre ouverte à ma femme» is the satirical essay by Georges Wolinski, in hardcover (186 pages, in French).
Wolinski addresses his wife in an open letter where, with humor and self-criticism, he confesses his past as a male chauvinist in love with a feminist; amid anecdotes and reflections, he tackles machismo, feminism and gender roles in 1970s France.
The work belongs to the «Lettre ouverte» collection by Albin Michel, where it originally appeared in 1978, and includes drawings by the author himself.
Aimed at readers of satire and graphic humor, as well as those interested in debates on couple relationships.
Georges David Wolinski was a French cartoonist and comics writer. He was killed on 7 January 2015 in the Charlie Hebdo shooting.
