This Coptic codex, discovered in 1970 during clandestine excavations, was coveted, mistreated, and threatened with destruction for a long time, before reaching the Maecenas Foundation and the National Geographic Society, which authenticated it. This book constitutes the first publication of the Gospel of Judas, accompanied by commentaries, placing it in the context of the early Church.
