Calpurnia, the only girl among seven brothers, lives in Texas at the end of the 19th century. Her mother expects her to learn lady-like skills, but she prefers nature and animals. Only her grandfather pays attention to her and takes her on scientific observations, though the bustling family environment often distracts her.
Volume 6 of the Bridge collection. It was published in 2010 and translated into Catalan by Jordi Vidal from the English.
Recommended for readers aged 14 to 18, although the back cover presents it as a novel for all ages.
