«L'herba de les nits» is the novel by Patrick Modiano, published by Proa in paperback (176 pages, in Catalan).
A writer attempts to reconstruct, fifty years later, the disappearance of Dannie, a woman he briefly loved and with whom he experienced murky events. From an old black notebook, he traverses an obsessively described Paris while investigating the identity of the characters and the keys to crime fiction: peculiar inspectors, suspicious bars, and encounters that perhaps were not what they seemed.
Novel originally published as «L'herbe des nuits» in 2012, awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature 2014. Part of the A TOT VENT collection, no. 614. Translation by Mercè Ubach Dorca.
