«L'infanzia di Gesù» is the theological essay by Joseph Ratzinger (Benedetto XVI), published by Rizzoli in hardcover (176 pages, in Italian).
In this work, Ratzinger interprets the accounts of Matthew and Luke about the infancy of Jesus in dialogue with exegetes of the past and present. The author combines historical reading with the question of truth and the current meaning of the text, and presents the book as an «entrance hall» to his two previous volumes on Jesus of Nazareth.
The work belongs to the Jesus of Nazareth series, although the author himself presents it as a complement, not a third volume. The Rizzoli imprint appears alongside the Libreria Editrice Vaticana on the cover.
For readers interested in Christian theology, Catholic spirituality, and biblical studies.
