«Llibre de les bèsties» is the allegorical narrative by Ramon Llull, published by Barcanova in paperback (96 pages, in Catalan).
Animals are the protagonists of this narrative that symbolically reflects the behavior of human society. Moralizing in tone, the work combines the main plot with short fables that expand its meaning.
It belongs to the Antaviana Jove collection by Barcanova. This edition, published in 2004, includes vocabulary and an appendix on the life and work of Ramon Llull, with photographs by Pere Formiguera Sala.
A work suitable for young readers and for those interested in the classics of Catalan literature and medieval narrative.

Ramon Llull, sometimes anglicized as Raymond Lully, was a Catholic philosopher, theologian, poet, missionary, apologist and former knight, born in Palma de Mallorca. He invented a philosophical system known as the Art, conceived as a type of universal logic to prove the truth of Christian doctrine to interlocutors of all faiths and nationalities. The Art consists of a set of general principles and combinatorial operations. It is illustrated with diagrams.
