«Llibre d'encanteris de la Vella Taràndula» is the young adult fantasy novel by Jordi Folck, published by La Galera in paperback (168 pages, in Catalan).
Pere takes revenge on a classmate who breaks his Three Kings gift using his grandfather's spell book. By uttering a few words, he makes it rain fish, makes cows fly, or brings the dead back to life. The witch Sargantana also covets the book and will do anything to get it, until skeletons and humans end up fighting.
It is number 230 in the Grumets collection and includes illustrations by Agustín Comotto Zanelli. The work won the Premi Josep M. Folch i Torres 2011.
For readers aged 10 to 12, especially fans of fantasy and stories of magic and witchcraft.
