«L'Option Excalibur» is the science fiction novel by David Weber and Frank Reichert, in paperback (380 pages, in French).
During the Hundred Years' War, an English fleet crossing the English Channel is rescued from a storm by an alien spacecraft. The rescue is self-interested: the aliens turn the survivors into mercenaries and force them to fight endlessly for a galactic guild, far from their own era and without knowing why.
Third installment of the Earth Legions series; originally published in English as The Excalibur Alternative.
